Frequently asked questions

How does PicSwipe access my photos?

PicSwipe needs Photo Library permission to show your albums and let you swipe or delete. Processing happens on your device; we do not upload your library to our servers for browsing or swiping.

You can change permission in Settings → PicSwipe → Photos.

What is the in-app Trash?

When you swipe to delete, items go to an in-app Trash first. Nothing is removed from your photo library until you tap delete and confirm in Trash.

Permanent deletion cannot be undone through PicSwipe. Check iOS Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted if you need Apple’s recovery window.

PicSwipe Pro and subscriptions

  • PicSwipe Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store.
  • Cancel anytime: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → PicSwipe.
  • Use Restore Purchases in the app if you reinstall or change devices (same Apple ID).
  • Refunds are handled by Apple according to App Store policy.

Restore Purchases does not work

  1. Sign in to the App Store with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
  2. Open PicSwipe → paywall or settings → Restore Purchases.
  3. Wait a few minutes and try again on a stable network.
  4. If it still fails, email us with your Apple ID country and approximate purchase date (no need to send card details).

Deletion failed or some photos were not removed

Some assets may be protected, still syncing from iCloud, or already removed. Try:

  • Opening the photo in the system Photos app and deleting there
  • Checking network and iCloud Photos status
  • Restarting the app and confirming deletion again from Trash

If you see a repeated error, email us with the message shown in the app.

Privacy and data deletion

See our Privacy Policy. Most data stays on your device until you uninstall the app. For requests about data we hold (e.g. support email), contact hello@typecode.app.
